A bit of March Madness history occurred when Michael Jeffrey Jordan hit a game winning jump shot to beat another great college program, Georgetown.
Back then, he was just Mike Jordan from Wilmington, North Carolina.
A lot has changed since then. No three point line in college basketball back then. That wouldn’t be adopted by the NCAA until the 1986-87 season.
This was before the shoes, the MVPs, the rings, Space Jam, team ownership, and all of the other endeavors Jordan has pursued.
But one thing never changed, that silky smooth jump shot.
I’m sure Jordan will be around for the Final Four this weekend to watch his Tar Heels.
