Is An Undefeated Postseason More Impressive Than 73 Wins?

The Warriors did it again. They managed to pull off a tough win by closing out Game 3 on an 11-0 run to win 118-113. They’re now up 3-0 on the Cavs and can win the title in Cleveland with a win Friday night.

They’re 15-0 in the Playoffs and are looking to become the only team in NBA history to go undefeated for an entire postseason.

They’re also the only team in NBA history to win 73 games in a season, which they did last year before….well, we all know what happened last year in the Finals.

So what’s more impressive? 73 wins or an undefeated postseason?

For me, it’s really simple. It’s the undefeated postseason, because it ends hoisting a trophy. Ask the 2007 Patriots what they think about regular season records. Sure, it’s a cool record to have but it doesn’t give you a ring. At the end of the day, that’s really what you want.

To go through the postseason, against the top teams, and now, the Eastern Conference Champions, without losing, is impressive.

Granted, this is premature since the Warriors still haven’t technically won the title with an undefeated postseason, but the Cavs’ will is broken. They gave the Warriors their best shot last night and came up short.

So, what do you think? What’s more impressive?
